How to Play the Browser Game
This page explains the controls and scoring for the independent, fan-made browser recreation on FlappyBirdd.me. It is not the original Flappy Bird app and is not affiliated with its creator or rights holders.
Start a round
Open the Play page, choose Start Game, then use one input at a time to keep the bird moving. The first input also enables sound in browsers that require a user gesture.
Controls
- Touch: Tap the game area to flap.
- Mouse: Click the game area to flap.
- Keyboard: Press Space to flap or restart after a collision.
- Sound: Use the sound button or press M to mute and unmute effects.
Scoring and high scores
You earn one point each time the bird passes a pipe pair. The best score is stored with browser local storage on the device and browser where you play. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or switching browsers can remove or separate that score. There is no online leaderboard or player account.
Three useful first habits
- Look at the next gap rather than the bird itself.
- Use small, repeatable taps instead of holding a key or tapping rapidly.
- After a miss, note whether you were too high or too low before starting the next round.
If the game does not load
Use a current version of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge, then refresh the page. Check that JavaScript is enabled and that your network permits the site. If a school or workplace network blocks games, follow its rules rather than trying to bypass its controls. You can contact the site operator with your device and browser details if a technical problem persists.
